Sony is building an internal development team to work on a new triple-A titled game. Recently a job listing for a senior producer was spotted indicating that they are working on a new project. Sony is currently in the process of building a new studio to work with Naughty Dog who developed the infamous game Last of Us, which was praised by many gamers and critics.
The listing stated that “Sony PlayStation is building a new internal game development team in partnership with PSS Visual Arts, an award-winning, full-production group, that specializes in Animation, Motion Capture, Cinematics, Art, and Scanning. This is the same world-class team known for its contributions to the Last of Us franchise!”
The fans have high expectations since PSS Visual Arts and Naughty Dog, one of the biggest game developers, are working together on a single project. This game will also possess one of the finest visual qualities, as the listing read, “Using our existing expertise and premier talent, we will guarantee a high visual quality bar for the game and a compelling experience for our players.”
They are looking for someone highly experienced with a minimum of 5 years of experience that includes AAA-titled games, so it will take a lot of work for anyone to be a team’s senior manager. The listing also said, “Our team is seeking a dedicated, focused, and self-motivated producer with a broad proven experience and a track record of building processes to help the team achieve its highest potential.” It is difficult to determine so early on what role Naughty Dog will have in this collaboration, but the matter will soon be revealed once the situation unfolds.
On a potentially unrelated matter, Christina Marie Drake, a primary recruiter at Naughty Dog, mentioned casually in his post on LinkedIn that she is building future teams “for not only new titles, but for the legacy of Uncharted.” This post could hint at another Uncharted game. Regardless, more information will soon be revealed on the project, as Sony mentioned in the post that they have a clear vision and plan to release.
