During the event of last year’s game awards, Star trek: Resurgence was announced. The latest game in the Star Trek series was supposed to be released in the final quarter of 2022, though the game’s developer, Dramatic Labs, decided to delay the release for further polishing. The game is now set to release in April 2023 for PC, Xbox, and Playstation.
The company published a statement on Twitter saying, “production has been advancing steadily all summer, but we have made the difficult decision to move our release date out of 2022 to give the game a final coat of polish and create a truly immersive Star Trek experience.”

They also added, “Our love and admiration for Star Trek is instrumental to this decision, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and this continues to be a passion project for everyone here. We are incredibly grateful – and excited – to be able to work within a universe that means so much to so many.”
The fans also support the decision as they hope to get a polished version of the game so that they can play their favorite franchise. It’s an interactive narrative game that acts as the sequel to the game Star Trek: Next generation. The story follows the crew members of the USS Resolute engaged in an intergalactic conflict that threatens The Federation.
The game’s experience will likely be the same as the Telltale Games since Dramatic Labs was founded by Kevin Bruner, who was also the founder of Telltale Games. The company also consists of 20 former Telltale employees. So it is safe to assume that you will have a blast when you play the upcoming Star Trek game if you enjoyed the previous Telltale games.
