Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been praised for the core gunplay and visuals, but the community is still outraged by some of the choices made by the game’s developers. In particular, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans are furious about some systems that favor campers.
Loud footsteps bug has been mentioned repeatedly by the players, and the problem is made worse by the absence of the Dead Silence perk. Even though Dead Silence has become a Field Upgrade, some people find it annoying to only be able to mask footsteps occasionally throughout a game rather than always.
The mini map, which Infinity Ward abandoned like it did in Modern Warfare 2019, is another significant problem. As a result, gamers will not see hostile dots on the mini map as they are accustomed to. Finally, the absence of nameplates makes it hard to identify enemies so camping becomes easier.
There’s nothing more aggravating than getting killed by someone who stays in one place during the whole match of an FPS game, thus camping has always been a heated issue.
Sadly, Modern Warfare 2 Beta offers very little to prevent camping just like the previous game of the franchise; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. The game is tuned in a way that encourages players to hide in a location and move as little as possible, thus even if anti-camper tools like Drill Charges are excellent additions, they aren’t effective enough.
